Responding to the Graphic needy fund appeal publication made by the Daily Graphic in the 6th July 2011 edition, page 16, staff of CAL Bank contributed and made a donation of GHC 3,000 to cater for the cost of immediate surgery for two year old Prince Kwesi suffering from an eye defect. Making the donation at the offices of Daily Graphic on the 7th of July 2011, Mr. Boafo, Head of Human resources on behalf of staff of CAL Bank said that CAL Bank as an institution is very much dedicated to helping the needy in society and was touched by the plight of little Kwesi hence undertaking this gesture. He also stated that not only is the Bank concerned about the cost of surgery but also wants to ensure that little Kwesi is able to recover fully and gets back to living a normal life without any setbacks. Mr. Ebo Acquaye the Adverts Manager of Graphic expressed gratitude to CAL Bank on behalf of the family of little Kwesi for the generous donation which would cover the cost of surgery as well as recovery after surgery for little kwesi and pleaded for other institutions to emulate the gesture by CAL Bank. In the 6th July 2011 edition of the Daily Graphic, a publication was made on the plight of little Prince Kwesi who had been detected with a deteriorating eye defect and was on admission at the korle-bu teaching hospital pending surgery. The cost of surgery was reported to be GHC 700 and the Graphic needy fund made an appeal to the public to donate toward saving the life of little Kwesi. (Posted: Jul 26 2011 ) « Back to headlines |
